Dr. Stefanie L. Addington is a board certified clinical endocrinologist who specializes in endocrine, diabetes and metabolism disorders. Her office is located in Frisco. She is a diehard Texan, born and raised in the DFW metroplex. Dr. Addington sees patients with any endocrine disorder and enjoys developing long term relationships with her patients and working with patients as a team to advocate for their health.
Dr. Addington grew up in Irving, Texas, and attended the University of Texas at Arlington, where she received a B.S. Biology degree in 1995. She then attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and received her M.D. in 1999. During medical school, she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA), a prestigious honorary medical society. She completed both her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. In 2004, she completed her fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. She joined Diabetes and Thyroid Center of Fort Worth in July 2017. She has been a member of the American Medical Association, American Association of Endocrinologists and the Endocrine Society. Dr. Addington believes in the importance of the doctor-patient relationship. She strives to provide the best in patient care while emphasizing compassion.
To help you, she uses every source of information at her disposal, addressing any and all issues for each patient with a personal touch. She believes in getting to know you, your family, your workplace, your environment… everything in your life. It’s what allows her to best understand and evaluate your unique situation in order to provide the most appropriate care. In addition to being an Endocrinologist and Metabolic Specialist, she is also Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
Her interests outside of medicine include spending time with her children, running, softball, nutrition and traveling.
