Dr. Daniel Um is a compassionate board-certified family physician who is dedicated to delivering high-quality patient-centered care. He has a strong interest in preventative care, which includes promoting a healthy lifestyle and managing chronic medical conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol. He also focuses on weight management and lifestyle medicine to help his patients lead healthier lives.

Growing up in Austin, Dr. Um earned his undergraduate degree at The University of Texas at Austin. He attended medical school at UTHealth Houston McGovern Medical School, where he completed his residency in family medicine. During his training at the Texas Medical Center, the world’s largest medical complex, he had the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population with a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions. By combining his exceptional medical training with genuine care, Dr. Um provides personalized care for patients of all ages. He is passionate about building strong patient-physician relationships and supporting them through all stages of life. Dr. Um believes in listening carefully to his patients and involving them in shared decision-making to achieve the best health outcomes.

In addition to English, Dr. Um is conversational in Korean. Outside of his medical practice, he enjoys spending time with his wife, running, traveling, and being with family.
