Daniel Um, MD - Family Medicine
Dr. Daniel Um is a compassionate board-certified family physician, committed to delivering high quality patient-centered care. He has interest in preventative care, promoting healthy lifestyle, and managing chronic medical conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol, with special interest in weight management and lifestyle medicine.
Dr. Um grew up in Austin and earned his undergraduate degree at The University of Texas at Austin. He attended medical school at UTHealth Houston McGovern Medical School, where he also completed his residency in Family Medicine. There, he trained at the Texas Medical Center, the world’s largest medical complex, and cared for a diverse patient population with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Dr. Um combines his exceptional medical training with genuine care to provide personalized care for all ages. He is passionate in making strong patient-physician relationships and caring for them through all stages in life. He believes in listening carefully to his patients and engaging them in shared decision-making to achieve the best health outcomes.
In addition to English, Dr. Um is conversational in Korean. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his wife, running, traveling, and being with family.
