Dr. Marriam Ali is a board-certified endocrinologist who sees patients at our Frisco office. She helps people with hormone and metabolic conditions, from diabetes and thyroid disease to PCOS and osteoporosis. She's known for explaining complicated topics in plain language, and that's exactly how she likes to practice.
Diabetes care is a big part of her work, and she sees patients with both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Dr. Ali stays on top of newer technology like insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors and helps patients decide what actually fits their lives. She also treats thyroid disorders, PCOS, and bone health concerns, including osteoporosis.
Dr. Ali speaks both English and Urdu. For patients and families who feel more at ease talking about their health in Urdu, she can walk through a diagnosis, explain the options, and go over the day-to-day plan in the language they're most comfortable with. Being understood makes a real difference in how well a treatment plan works.
She believes medicine should never be one size fits all. Dr. Ali grew up in Dallas. She earned her medical degree at Texas A&M College of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She then trained in endocrinology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, where she focused on diagnosing and treating complex hormonal disorders.
Outside the office, Dr. Ali enjoys exploring new destinations through travel and cherishes quality time in the kitchen with her husband and daughter, sharing the joy of preparing healthy, flavorful meals together.
