John Bialey, MD - Family Medicine

Dr. John Bailey has been practicing family medicine in North Texas since 2006, most of that time just down the road in Carrollton. He will be working in our new office at Internal Medicine Associates of Frisco.
He grew up in Atlanta and studied at Wake Forest University before earning his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. After finishing his residency at Georgia Baptist Family Practice in Morrow, Georgia, he spent six years caring for families in Cartersville, where he did a little bit of everything; hospital rounds in the morning, clinic visits in the afternoon, and nursing home care in between. That kind of hands-on experience is harder to find these days, and it's shaped how he practices: he looks at the whole picture, not just the visit in front of him.
Parents sometimes ask Dr. Bailey about autism, and he's always glad to talk. His son is autistic, so he understands those questions from the inside; not just as a doctor, but as a parent who has had many of the same conversations at his own kitchen table.
When he's not in the office, you'll probably find him out running or planning his family's next Disney trip. His wife, Dr. Melissa Bailey, is an OB/GYN here in Frisco, and together they have two adult children, Wes and Essie.
